Anant's comments

There are many aspects of Kumon that I like and dislike. Firstly, when I started the Kumon programme, I thought it was boring. Slowly over the years I have realised the benefits of the programme in both school and daily life. When I grow up, I would like to be a financial expert, in which my maths skills and many others would come into use. That is when I will really find Kumon the most effective! Kumon has increased my accuracy and speed in all calculations substantially, and that is what I think the point and inspiration that I find Kumon. I have recently been placed in the highest group for maths in school and have been advised that I may be able to sit my GCSE maths exam a year early and then follow the advanced maths course. The English programme has improved the way I answer questions and how deep I can dive into text to find little bits of information. It has also increased my vocabulary and generated an interest in reading, both classics and contemporary books. This is due in no small measure to the constant encouragement from Claire, the Instructor in Bahrain as well as all the other staff at the Kumon Bahrain centre.

Instructor's comments

Anant excelled on the English programme. He was on the honour roll from his first three months into the programme, right up to completion. His work on the English programme was always of high standard. His parents and all of us here in Bahrain, are very proud that Anant is our first English programme Completer. He is working hard on completing the maths programme, which we expect to be in the summer of 2006.
