Shintaro Kudo, aged 14 Completer of both the Kumon Japanese and English Programmes Currently studying Kumon maths |
Hello, my name is Shintaro Kudo. I'm 14 years old. I enrolled on Kumon when I was one year old. Then, I started only on the Japanese programme. Later I started maths and English. Now, I have already finished English and Japanese. So, I do only maths now.
By the way, I live in Japan. Japan is in the east of Asia, between the Pacific Ocean and the Asian continent. Japan stretches from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south. So, the northern cities are cold but cities in the south are warm.
I live in Asahikawa in the north of Japan, where the temperature varies from 30 degrees in summer to minus 30 degrees in winter. And we have a lot of snow here. In winter, many people enjoy winter sports.
My hobby is Telemark skiing. I started it when I was 10 years old. Telemark skiing is also known as "free heel skiing." Unlike alpine skiing equipment, the skis used for Telemarking have a binding that only connects the boot to the ski at the toes, just as in cross-country skiing. I have taken part in the Telemark ski races for four years. It's my most exciting event in the winter. My aim is to participate in the World Cup of the Telemark ski.
I want to be a lawyer someday, so that I can help people in trouble. When I was two, my grandfather died because of a medical malpractice. My family wished we had someone that knew about law to help us. I believe that lawyers have the power to support people.
I'd like to use Kumon power for realising my dream.
