Alfredo Pla, a Kumon student from Spain

Alfredo Pla, aged seven Date started maths : 2004 Start level maths : 4A

Hello, my name is Alfredo and I'm seven years old. I enrolled on Kumon when I was two but I had to give it up because I had a very tight schedule. I don't remember much about it, but I liked it. In 2004 I went back to Kumon and now I am at level 2A. I am very good at adding and my parents and Instructor always tell me that it is very important to study daily and be enthusiastic about it.

I really liked doing exercises with dots, I was very quick at them. My Instructor says that I am very good at maths and if I carry on like this I could become a maths teacher when I grow up. My Instructor is the best, she never gets angry with me...well, only if I lie to her and don't work every day.

When I'm not doing my Kumon, I like to practice taekwondo and somersaults with my friends. Practising is also very important while doing taekwondo because it improves my elasticity.

I like living in Madrid because people are always outdoors and there are lots of parks and playgrounds. But above all, I love going to the swimming pool, funfairs and playing with my Action Men.

My elder brother, Guillermo, also goes to Kumon. He is always telling me that I have to work every day.
