Hello my name is Kate Marsh and I live in Detroit, Michigan. I have been doing Kumon maths and reading nearly two-and-a-half years. I started in Kumon because of my dad who works for Kumon. In the beginning I used to love doing the worksheets especially the colorful ones in the lower levels. Right now, I still enjoy doing it each day but I enjoy doing the reading worksheets more than math. I like reading the little stories in the level that I am on.

Besides doing Kumon, I enjoy swimming. I go to swim lessons every Saturday morning and I'm getting really good at it. I passed a swim test at the pool so I can go down the waterslide even though I am not very tall. I also enjoy riding my bike. Just this spring, my dad took off my training wheels and I learned to ride it without any help in two days. I love going on long bike rides with my dad and my little sister, Caroline. Caroline also does Kumon. She just started in May. She is two years old.

I love going and visiting my grandparents who live in Maryland and New Jersey. We always go and visit them in the summertime and at Christmas time. I was born in Maryland and lived there until I was three years old. I have a lot of friends in Maryland that I love to visit and play with. I also like to go on vacation to Lake Michigan with my family. It is very beautiful and it is fun to swim in the lake.

When I grow up I want to be a teacher. I have also thought about being a veterinarian. I love animals, especially dogs. All of my neighbours have dogs and I play with them every week.
