"I get the most satisfaction from seeing someone who first came to Kumon struggling with maths develop into a capable mathematician with the confidence and study skills to tackle any problem."
Owen Braun, Instructor of the Douglas & Wilton Study Centres

Meet the Instructor

Leigh Goodman

Meet The Instructor Mallow Leigh GoodmanI first became aware of Kumon because my children studied maths in Cork for many years. When I moved to Mallow in 2004, it provided the ideal opportunity to begin my career as a Kumon Instructor.

I had always loved maths and logic and the structured nature of the Kumon programs appealed to me. I have a background in IT management, having worked in the IT industry for over twenty years. In my last role, I was primarily responsible for the development of staff; setting and monitoring targets, motivation and encouragement; reviews and appraisals. These skills proved to be very relevant and transferable to my role as a Kumon instructor.

Meet The Instructor Mallow Leigh and NiamhI enjoy seeing my students improve and the confidence that success instils in them. One of my highlights so far, was the first Kumon National awards ceremony in 2009, where one of my sixth class students spoke about his Kumon journey to an audience of approximately two hundred and fifty people.

In 2010, I completed five years as a Kumon instructor and was presented with an award by Niamh Hogan, area manager for Kumon Ireland.
