My name is Agata, and I am the Instructor at the Kumon Ashbourne Study Centre.

Before joining Kumon, I spent over 20 years building my career in finance and treasury management, where I developed a deep appreciation for discipline, structure and lifelong learning. Throughout my career, however, I remained passionate about education, and I always felt that my heart was drawn towards helping children learn, grow and reach their full potential.

As a mother of three, I understand how important the early years of learning are in shaping a child’s confidence and laying the foundations for future success. My own journey to Kumon became clear when two of my children enrolled in the programme. Watching their progress first-hand, the way daily practice transformed not only their skills but also their attitude towards learning, was remarkable. That experience inspired me to pursue this vocation and dedicate myself to helping other children thrive.

What I love most about Kumon is the way it helps unlock each child’s true potential. I see how, through small, progressive steps, consistent routines and the habits they develop, children build strong understanding and core skills while becoming independent and self-motivated learners. I also value how naturally Kumon complements the school curriculum. Because every child progresses at their own pace, I believe there is no limit to what they can achieve and the sky truly is the limit.

I believe these foundations become especially important when children make the transition from primary to secondary education, a significant step that can sometimes feel daunting. Through Kumon, I help children develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to make this transition smoothly and approach their secondary school studies with confidence. I am proud that the foundations they build can continue to support them throughout further education and every opportunity that lies ahead.
