Run a Kumon Study Centre from your home

Kumon@home allows you to provide the Kumon method to students in your community from the comfort of your home. This allows you to reap the benefits of being a Kumon Instructor and, given your less densely populated market, you can avoid many of the overheads associated with hiring out a venue.

We offer you:

10 days of pre-opening materials training (and subsequent follow up training post opening), marketing and business compliance training
Opening marketing to support you in raising awareness
Regional team support - designated area manager, in-house graphic design team
Networking and sharing of best practices from our network of over 600 franchisees
National marketing campaigns
Continual product development and training

You will need to:

Open a minimum of 2 days (6 hours of class), of which 5 hours must be in person and 1 hour online
Ensure all adults living at the address are DBS checked
Have a dedicated room available for use away from the family (not the kitchen)

Financial and child safeguarding checks

If you decide to go for it and start the exciting process of becoming a Kumon Instructor, we will run some financial and safeguarding checks

Training

You'll be given extensive ongoing training on the Kumon English and Maths Programmes over an 11 day training programme at one of our flagship study centres

Open a centre

Your Kumon Area Manager will give you extensive support to help get you up and running. They are there to make sure you get off to a flying start

I’ve always wanted to be my own boss

Before becoming the Instructor of the Kumon Clonmel Study Centre, Yvonne Dillon-O'Rourke was a secondary school maths and accounting teacher in Ireland and Africa for seven years. She sought to be her own boss and discovered Kumon through a friend's recommendation.

Instilling confidence in children is so rewarding

Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, Audrey worked in corporate roles in the finance sector and later worked part-time in the family business, juggling home life and raising three young children. Life was busy, but she wanted to do something independently that would allow her to become her own boss.
