How does Kumon encourage children to think for themselves?
At Kumon, we want children to have the ability and confidence to be able to think for themselves, both now, at university and for the rest of their lives. Increasingly in today's world, using their existing knowledge to form and try out hypotheses is a required skill that will also set them in good stead across all academic subjects. From studying with Kumon they will learn to make judgements based on their own logic, and we believe every child, regardless of age or school year, is able to do this with practice.
